But, Oh, How I Love Me Some Me!
Things that are good for you BUT don’t feel good at first:
1. Brushing and Flossing every day.
2. Exercising 20-30 minutes a day.
3. Eating my Veggies.
4. Loving My Neighbor!!!
Whoa! I don’t have to love ALL my neighbors, do I??
“Love thy neighbor” has been around for over 2000 years, and we are going to make sure it is not just a forgotten, old, outdated saying! We understand the need for self-care, but we want to remind you to balance that with a healthy care for others too!
Your neighbor can be your actual next-door neighbor, your co-worker, your fellow neighborhood cashier, restaurant server, postal worker, hospital nurse, crossing guard, bus stop mom, boy scout or girl scout (even if it’s not cookie season). As long as they have a need, they can be your neighbor. Let’s face it, we ALL have a need for love, kindness, acceptance, grace.
We are built for community, and as our world gets more technologically advanced, we must remember to carve out time and space for kindness, caring, and love for others.
Join us, neighbor, as we focus on others instead of ourselves. Listen in on our personal stories and a few stories that we swiped from the headlines where we show the beauty of loving our neighbors.
